Looks like an exciting first leg! If you get the chance, try to visit some of Croatia’s national parks, particularly Paklenica and Plitvicka Jezera. Hopefully you’ll have time for some site seeing in Istanbul – the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are definitely worth a visit. Take care, and have an awesome trip!
